Enhancing Human-Centric Engineering Skills in Learning Factories for Industry 5.0

About

ABOUT

Human-centricity is a foundational pillar of Industry 5.0. The ENGAGE 5.0 partnership is committed to driving

the transformation of engineering education toward this vision, with the goal of fostering prosperity and social

sustainability. To achieve this, it harnesses the potential of learning factories to equip engineers with the

competences required to design and manage digitally enabled, human-centric manufacturing systems.

IMPACT

The ENGAGE 5.0 partnership will drive human-centricity in engineering education by providing:

  • A skill framework for human-centric design and management of production systems enabled by digital technologies

  • Multidisciplinary, agile, and modular learning paths integrating human-centricity and digital technologies in learning factories

  • An EU learning factory network to foster knowledge exchange, share of good practices and support collaborative educational endeavours towards Industry 5.0

ACTIVITIES

The ENGAGE 5.0 partnership envisions:

  • The analysis of skill gaps on human-centric manufacturing.

  • The development and testing of blended learning paths leveraging human-centric principles, frameworks and methods and cutting-edge digital technologies (AI, cobots, wearables, XR) in learning factories.

  • The establishment of an international network of learning factories focused on human-centricity in Industry 5.0.
